The
Snow Slip Inn opened originally in 1945 with a café, motel, campground
and bar. Today, it is an excellent road site stop on US Hwy 2 south of
Glacier Park and north of the Great Bear Wilderness area. The café is
open year round, daily from 7am to 10pm with great home-style Montana
cuisine. The historic bar and 6 room motel, with a dozen campsites
available. Step back in time at The Snow Slip Inn with endless summer
hiking trails, fall hunting grounds, with winter snowmobiling, amazing
cross country & back country skiing into Glacier National Park. The Snow Slip Cafe is popular local hangout, (which means our prices are fantastic) & you'll find a great mix of people here that are friendly and love to share their knowledge of the area, so don't be shy, ask away! In
winter months, we are an ideal base camp for
snowmobiling & back-country skiing. Trail access is accessible right
from the Inn. We welcome back
country tour operators & snow machine enthusiasts. We
have ample parking for large vehicles, horse trailers, and day-trippers.
We
welcome guests with pets and both our Inn and Campground are pet
friendly. Trail riders are welcome to park their horse trailer here for
their visit & for guests we have corral area available with water access
so keep your horse happy. DIRECTIONS The Snow Slip is located at mile marker 180 on HWY 2 East between East Glacier and West Glacier in Essex, Montana.
